2.2i CTDi SE 4 X 4

Reliable, spacious, value for money SUV

Bought the car in June 2008 from a dealer , had 10.000 miles on the clock. Purchasing was a delightful experience, also took out gap insurance for 3 years.
I average 35 mpg in town and about 42 mpg on a long run. Engine is torquey, quiet , reliable, have now got 53.000 miles on the clock and knock on wood, except regular service and a new set of tyres (Conti Cross Contact LX) discs and pads, nothing to report. Every now and again it takes a sip of oil (ard every 4000 miles about 1 litre) but according to Honda this is normal.
Compared to my previous car, an Audi A6 2.5 TDI Allroad, a very pleasant experience so far. The Audi, despite regular main dealer service, cost us 14.000 £ in repairs over 7 years, and we had bought the Audi brandnew (Air suspension faulty, all 4 chamshafts faulty after 80k miles etc etc etc, NO money back from Audi, camshaft problem apparantly a known issue....)
So, all in all, I can only highly recommend the CRV equipped with this engine
