Better than a Fiat 500

Bought to complement a Fiat 500 in the household. It is reasonably spacious. I have carried three adult passengers and they said the ride was very smooth and comfortable. The ride is certainly smoother than a Fiat 500s, but it not quite as much fun to drive - the engine isn't as peppy and willing. However, I enjoy driving the Panda. The drive is smooth with easy gear changes but the best thing about this car is the superb visibility all round. The windows are huge and the back is flat so it's a doddle to park. The boot is big enough for a weekly shop. I haven't tried carrying anything else yet but I intend to install a cycle rack on the roof. Equipment on the Pop model is basic. However, I like having a CD player and the sound quality is acceptable. The seats are quite hard but I'm getting used to them. The second best thing about this car is how high you sit and, unlike the Fiat 500, there is a little ledge to rest the left foot on when cruising out of town. I also like the fact that it's fairly cheap to buy and it's so easy to drive. One thing to be aware of is that it gets blown about by the wind, even when fully laden with passengers. Fuel economy is low forties around town (in the winter) and it's only £30 to tax. I think this is a better car than the Fiat 500 but not quite as much fun to drive.
