DS 4 (2011 - 2018)
1.2 Puretech 130 Prestige Start+Stop 5dr
Does a good job
I bought this car because it's nice looking and I've driven French cars, Peugeot 308, Peugeot 3008 and a C4 Picasso (my wife's cars) and have had no issues.
The DS4 is comfortable, quick for a 1.2 (turbo) and so far the fuel economy is pretty good. I've done 3000 miles in 4 months and the long term average mpg is 47. On long motorway journies it manages 52 mpg.
I've driven quite a few company cars in the past and this is one of my favourite cars so far. Interior is very good quality, ride is comfortable although a bit hard but that's because of the superb looking 18" alloys and low profiles tyres, 7" display and satnav more than adequate and the sound quality of the infotainment system is very good..
As DS are trying to contend with the BMW1, Golf etc I'd say they've done a good job. I have had a Golf Blue motion and a BMW 118D, the Golf had lots of technical problems with cockpit instrumentation, faulty cruise control, broken glove box and under seat storage jamming up and I would not consider getting another Golf (over priced/overrated). DS4 in my opinion is a good contender to the BMW1 except it's cheaper and more comfortable but not such a good handler, although handles fine for my needs.
My only real gripe with the DS4 is that the rear windows don't open, but since I rarely have passengers in the back it's not a big issue for me.
