Off-road focused Jeep Cherokee available from £34,245

Published 30 January 2015

Jeep has announced a new ‘Trail-rated’ variant of the Cherokee called the Trailhawk, which it is most capable Cherokee available according to its manufacturer.

It is powered by a 3.2-litre V6 petrol engine with 272PS and 315Nm of torque, linked to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Trailhawk has restyled front and rear bumpers and a one-inch suspension lift, giving it steeper approach and departure angles then a regular Cherokee.

There is also additional underbody protection for the engine and fuel tank. The all-wheel drive system has various settings including a mode for traversing rocks.

The seats are trimmed in leather with red stitching and there is an 8.4-inch touchscreen as standard, along with all-season floor mats, 17-inch alloy wheels and a cargo net. Options include a wireless phone charging pad and an upgraded touchscreen with navigation.

The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is available now.
