Paris Motor Show 2014: Mitsubishi reveals more upmarket Outlander PHEV

Published 02 October 2014

Mitsubishi has unveiled a new version of the Outlander Plug-in EV at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Called the Concept-S, it has more striking styling and features a more luxurious cabin than the standard Outlander.

Mitsubishi is calling the new model a concept, but underneath the new look it’s effectively the same Outlander PHEV we get today, so there’s a possibility this is a preview of a new version or a facelift.

The front of the Concept-S gets a new look reminiscent of that seen on previous Mitsubishi concept models, but much of the rest of the exterior looks similar to that of the production model. The interior is quite different, however. There is black wood grain trim, plus there is leather upholstery with ‘ribbed’ sections to improve comfort.
