having replaced the fan motor I asked for location of speed resistor I was told it was in passenger footwell area.( having looked with no joy ) my relative finally found it ,while I watched him, it is directly behind the fan control switch quite difficult to remove and replace but big thanks to him he managed it. now it is working on all settings, thanks for advice given in the past
