My timing belt broke and caused damage to the engine, I have been quoted £1120 for new belt, reconditioned cylinder head gasket, change of valves, water pump etc. Is that a reasonable price, is changing all the components necessary or could it just do with new valves as the old ones got bent by the pistons once the belt has snapped. Anyone can advice me , as I dont know nothing about engines and any garage can just overcharge me thanks
