Citreon C1 - C1, 3 years on and 1st MOT - injection doc

Well our Citreon C1 has just had its 3rd birthday, cant belive its come round this quickly but just sailed through its 3rd service & MOt at citreon. No advises and no problems reported iether.

Its only my 3rd car ever not requiring trips to and fro to the dealer in between services so for what it cost new its been just brilliant and then to Road tax today for just £20.00 for the year made me smile. The only two other cars that never needed a trip in between services were my X-type Jags

In fact I enquired about changing for another new one and the cost to change was so negliable I was tempted, but for the fact another daughter starts to learn to drive in 2 weeks.

So I could of changed for just under 3k for another brand new one with 3 years warranty but the current one is just pristine so we will sqeeze another year I feel.

cheers Andy, I supposed I have to take my hat off to Toyota really ! I still have friends who dont belive me when I tell them its a toyota with a different badge! they just think its one of those French things! if it was the electrics would of failed by now ! LOL

with nearly 60 mpg and 70+ on a run and £170 a year to insure and £20 a year road tax its still the best small car we have ever had and would definatley buy another. I hope my older daughters one that she bought new in September is as good as my one then we will be laughing.

Our Aygo has just had its fourth birthday. Also sailed through MOT. It had four new tyres just before Christmas - the OEM Continentals were rubbish, lasting just 12,000 miles with a rotation at about 8,000.

Three warranty claims - faulty boot lock from new, waterpump replacement (redesigned so not an issue anymore), water ingress into rear - all fixed by main dealer.

A colleague had water ingress in her 107 and the dealer attitude compared to Toyota was like chalk and cheese. Toyota fitted all new seals to ours, new rubber gutters above the doors and fitted a new carpet. Peugeot changed one seal, but refused to change the carpet.

Cracking little car whichever badge they have, don't hear bad things from those in the know.

On some forums i read complaints of early clutch failure with these, but on motoring forums this doesn't get mentioned....maybe motoring enthusiasts learned to drive, and don't abuse the things.
