Peugeot 308 SW - Screen wash failure - nickman

During the cold spell i have had to replace the fuse twice on my 59 reg vehicle. The dealer wanted to charge £17. On return to work 2 other owners have had a similar problem. Is your 308 failing in the same way? This could be a serious safety issue, so does anyone know a longer term fix?

strikes me as a simple severe weather combined with insufficient anti freeze content prob. In winter I run 90% to 10% non premix anti freeze mix in the washers. Even then the nozzles freeeze up or the mix hits the screen and freezes unless the screen is warm.

Can happen to any car. You may find that some pipes have burst and the motor, once thawed, may be pumping the screenwash elsewhere

207 models seem to suffer the same problem.I usually increase fuse rating to 15amp (blue).hth
