Land Rover Freelander 1.8 1999 - removing the clutch slave cylinder - Maturecheese
How can I remove the slave cylinder from the support bracket without the push rod being ejected? When they are fitted from new, they have a plastic restraint holding the push rod in until it sits in the cup of the release lever.

The sealed system isn't faulty and the push rod is sitting in the cup but the slave cylinder hasn't been fitted correctly to the support bracket and needs to be removed. The plastic push rod restraint is broken.

Anyone had this problem?

just buy a hockey stick fuel clip & put around push-rod and insert couple of cable ties and wrap around the cylinder
