Car damaged in car park - is there anything I can do?

My car got scratched, presumably by another vehicle, whilst in the long stay airport parking at Heathrow. There were no CCTV cameras in the vicinity. I reported it to the front desk and they just shrugged their shoulders, said it happens all the time and that we should contact the police, which seems pretty pointless. Guess it’s just one of those things but wondered whether you had any suggestions?

There just isn't anything you can do. It happens to all of us. Before leaving the car, obviously, try to park centrally in the space in the hope you give enough room to the cars either side, whether they are there when you park or not.
