VECTRA 2006 1.9 CDTI - 2006 VECTRA 1.9 CDTI STARTING PROBLEMS - cumnock

I have recently started having problems trying to start my car first time in the morning, It will turn and turn for around 30 seconds before firing up at times I have to do this twice before it will fire up.

I have had the glow plugs changed, the fuel return pipes renewed, the return pressure valve replaced and full service carried out, still the problem exists.

Once the car has been started in the morning it will start first time for the rest of the day with no fault lights or any other problems.

Can anyone help.

Your symptoms indicate you have an air leak and the fuel is draining back to the tank. These small leaks can be very difficult to find. Some garages have the equipment to leak test the fuel circuit. Often the leak can be due to minute hair line cracks in the inner of a crimped pipe. Regards Peter

I have the same problem with starting my car in the morning, were you able to solve the problem?
