I'm giving my car to my daughter - how can we avoid losing a month's tax?

I am about to give my daughter my car. I have taxed it to the end of the month. As soon as she registers it in her name she will have to pay tax from the beginning of the month. Can we avoid losing a month’s tax?

The only correct and legal way to do this would be to hand the car over to your daughter on the first day of the month and you cancel your tax on May 31st. Even if she doesn’t tax it until the afternoon of June 1st, the road tax covers the entire month and will therefore be valid.
