Can anybody tell me how I can get to the air filter?

I have removed the engine covers, scuttle panel and rear plastic cover. I have also removed all the allen bolts around the air filter housing (before it enters MAF sensor).

However, I cannot remove the air filter housing cover as there is a crash-bar going across diagonally with what looks like to heavy power cable connections. This is obstructing me from removing the air filter cover.

I have tried removing one of the bolts on the crash bar which fixes to the suspension strut area, but it still appears to be fixed in the centre of the bulkhead.

Any tips on how to tackle this job is much appreciated.
