Driving down the M20 last Friday, on the way to the Chunnel, I was overtaken by a large, sleek, slightly futuristic saloon in a sinister non-metallic black, with no badges or noticeable detailing.
The giveaway was the shapely rear boot-lid, adorned with thin, boomerang red LEDS. It was the new XJ (on a 58-reg plate), doing a steady 90mph.
Looks great - purposeful with a hint of agression. If it drives as well as it looks, Jag will do well.

I saw one on display in the Mailbox Shopping Centre in Birmingham over the weekend. As I was with a non-motoring minded lady and the car is well out of my price range I did not give it very much attention! It wasn't a big WOW, like my first sight of a CLS a few years ago!

...I too was 'most taken' by the CLS at the time of its introduction, and, of course, the XF, but having undertaken my 5-hour extended/unaccompanied E350 CDI Coupé test-drive last Friday...
...however, I notice that the first UK Infiniti dealership is due to open in Reading a week on Friday and so until I've finally seen the G37 Coupé/Convertible in the flesh...
