Hi All.I would like to do a coolant change and was wondering if somebody could talk me through the process.Never having done one on a C5 before,I thought it wise to check the correct method and make sure that the job was well done.
I am the second owner and have had the car just over a couple of years.I was told it had had 5yr antifreeze put in just before I bought it and was shown the bill for the work done.
I would however like to now flush, backflush, the system and refill, with a good quality ethelyn glycol.
I would be grateful for any help, tips and guidance.Thanks,Brian.

The C5 has lifelong coolant. Both the dealer and Haynes says it doesn't need changing, however you must use Revkogel 2000 or Glysantin G33 coolant. Ask the dealer, I understand they are part numbers 9979.70 and 9979.72 but check as my info may be wrong.

You also need to make a header tank to go ontop of the expansion reservoir.

I'd buy a Haynes, £20 isn't a lot to spend to prevent you warping the head from lack of coolant.
