My saxo power steering, heater and rear windscreen do not work. I have checked all the fuses and they are all ok. I took it to a garage and was told when you turn the ignition key on it is not sending the correct signal to operate these which is why they are not working and wanted £200 to fix it. Can anyone give me any advice as to what part would be needed.

As all three have gone it sounds like they are related, but it is worth seeing if you can get the power steering going again in case that fault is in isolation. SWMBO's Saxo power steering has gone twice in the last two years, both times I cured it by giving the pump a sharp tap with the long extention off the vacuum cleaner. These cars have electric pumps and can stick, the said tap freeing them up again.

Usual problem when all these circuits fail is a fault with the ignition switch.Take it to a good electrical tech/specialist and get the failed circuit wired thro a power relay and save the expense of new replacement lock/switch.hth

Many thanks for your response, it confirms what I was told but wanted confirmation.

Cheers Robin Reliant, the last time it was the fuse that went and I've changed that again. Feel like scrapping the thing.
