2004 1.6 power steering - carperrob
On 3 or 4 occasions the power steering has packed up and the EPS light on instrument panel illuminates on my 54 reg Meriva.This happens whilst driving and there are no indications that it is about to happen, it happened today on a busy roundabout. On a previous occasion I took it to a main dealer with the power steering gone and EPS illuminated. Their answer was no fault found. Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, any solutions, please.

first check is to make sure that the battery and the charging cicuit ie Alternator is in tip top condition and its chargeing, after that its of to the garage that can read any codes stored, if the light has been on then a code will be stored the eps are a little prone to failing on these and corsa's but normally in one direction only see hear
