Breakdown insurance for more than one vehicle - AllTorque
Does anone know of a multi-vehicle car breakdown insurance policy? Usual stuff needed, roadside assistance, homestart etc Need to cover 4 cars and 3 drivers, one to include European cover, would prefer one policy and one payment rather than 4 separate ones.

AA/RAC? If one of the drivers is wife and the other under 25, family policy.

Alternatively, ask your insurance co.

The AA cover drivers separately but give discounts for spouse cover and family cover. I pretty sure the cover is on the driver although you may have to let them know what vehicles you have. I expect the other organisations offer similar deals.

If you are a business then there is cover, but you need to look at the web sites.

Only uncertain point is what does the AA class as family - those living at same address?
I don't think they cover aunties, uncles, grandparents under one deal probably only wife and kids.

With GEM, each plan covers a named member or members, not a specified vehicle.

Roadside ? gets you moving or takes your vehicle to an approved garage for repair. If you?re less than 15 miles from home, will take you and your vehicle there.

Recovery EXTRA ? adds home assistance, onward travel or emergency accommodation and recovery of you and up to six passengers to any one destination in the UK

Recovery RECLAIM ? the same comprehensive cover, but with a lower membership fee, as you pay the attending garage and reclaim the costs.


Covers up to 4 people living at the same address.
Not sure about European cover.

Most companies offer "driver" cover and often extend the cover if you're just a passenger.

Autoaid cover the holder of the policy not the car even as a passenger.

brittannia rescue offer a similar thing,as long as you have 1 named vehicle with them you can get there personal cover which is the same as mentioned above.have just done this for my 650cc bandit.

Autoaid covers policyholder and wedded spouse for any vehicle. At their prices, if you need four covering for any vehicle, then multiple policies could be cheaper than the biggies.

I suspect a single policy for four people and any vehicle might be difficult to find.
