2002 1.8 20vt RS climate control not working - Ohgr
After having had the compressor replaced on my car with a tested as working compressor, the compressor still isn't engaging when the aircon is switched on.

I get 6 volts at the compressor end regardless of if the aircon is on or not. Any ideas whats going on ?

The compressor will not be switched on unless the system is safe to operate - it's a very complex control system with many components.

Is the refrigerant level correct? Are there any fault-codes stored?

first thing i would do is to make sure there is refrigerant gas in the system,to do safely take to a air con repair agent,if is low it would sugest leak in system,which would cause air con not to work.
