95 1.9D Partner diesel pump on - VUK
I have purchased BRAND NEW Lucas XUD 101 pump for berlingo/partner for £30

My 306 1.9D XUD has the same XUD 101 pump BUT this new one has 4 wires connector where the old one has 1.

Is there any way I can make it work on my 306? (I like a challenge btw).

Thanks

What's wrong with your old one? Just because it's the same model of pump doesn't mean that it got the same settings or anywhere near them. Has it got an electronic DHX-type injection timing solenoid?

The RIM module is part of an immobilizer system and will need smashing off and your shut-off solenoid fitting - if it will.

I have removed lucas pump and injectors and fitted bosch, but i'm not happy cos its smoking like hell.

Since I got this pump so cheap I thought I would try and fit it.

That looks remarkably like an electronic solenoid on the side - you may need a complete engine management system to go with it.

Is the Bosch one the exact one for your engine? As you've found, there are hundreds of variations in settings.

The bosch is off 1992 405 1.9D XUD engine. Same pump as fitted to citroen zx up to 1994 i think xud 1.9D

This new lucas pump has a square plug with 4 PIN connector, I have just seen just about the same one on the scrap fitted to 97 1.9TD 306, the only difference being it had some extra pipes/hoses underneath.

Any ideas?

Only a wild guess, but could the one fitted to the turbo'd cars be capable of sensing the boost pressure and adjusting the fuel accordingly? Would seem pretty pointless to turbo a car and not increase the fuel.
