Found this story about a lone car driver in Osaka, Japan, who ended up with more than 2,200 police officers, 460 patrol cars and a chopper being involved in a pursuit of his vehicle:

Seems he had assaulted some police officers a few days earlier and was spotted.

Bit like London yesterday. You can never find a policeman when you want one and then, all of a sudden, 22,000 all turn up at once.....:-)
