2002 Tdi Difficulty Engaging Gears - mark999

We've had the Caravelle from 6 months old and have had intermittent problems engaging gears especially 1st and reverse when stationary and occasionally 2nd and 3rd whilst on the move.
The dealer has removed and lubricaated the gear linkage cable on several occasions without
improvement.
The clutch pedal needs to be planted very firmly on the floor otherwise gear selection is nearly impossible. Does anyone know if the clutch can be adjusted on this model?

Could the problem be due to air in the clutch hydraulics? and how easy is it to bleed the clutch on this model.
