New problem after repair - R75
My sister had to have some work done on the front subframe of her car about 6 weeks ago. Since getting it back from the main dealer she has just told me that at times it will not accelerate, it does not die, just wont go any faster. She has also said that one of the back doors will now not open. I have told her to chuck it back at the main dealer and make sure she gets a replacement car whislt they sort out the problems - the reason she does not want to take it back in is because she can not afford to hire a car like she had to when the sub frame work was being carried out (insurance job).

Her thoughts are that they will not accept responibility as she has had it back 6 weeks, and was just about to get it serviced to see if that cures the problem!!!

My stance on it is not to get it serviced but to hand it back to them as they had to remove the engine to do the work and I think some of the wiring maybe loose.

Any thoughts on how to approach it???

(car is a 51 reg Golf TDI)

No accident that she knew of, went in for an MOT and failed as it had twisted front subframe - her only idea is that there are a lot of speed humps near where she lives and thinks that may have been the cause. Having said that she is not the 1st owner, but it did go through previous MOT's without a problem!! But thanks for the reply.
