What a fun day !!
On any other day I listen to Five Live in the car and would have received traffic bulletins every 20 minutes.
Today I decided, on the way from my home in Yorkshire to a job in Dudley, that I would have a CD on instead, so no traffic bulletins.
And I got caught in the 23 mile queue on the M18 / M1 due to a lorry up-ending in the roadworks at Junction 29.
Hit the back of queue at 9.00am.
1.30pm, 3 miles later and 4.5 hours later, visit to customer duly cancelled and re-scheduled for tomorrow, I reached junction 30 where I could turn round and go home.
Home at 2.30. Almost 6 hours in the car and got nowhere. Wasted day !!.
Anyone else have the mis-fortune to get stuck in this one today?

No, but if I'm listening to a CD and want the traffic announcements, I just push the "TA" button on my radio and the CD is paused everytime a traffic bulletin comes on the radio. :-)

I know, I know - I could have used that as well. Just got complacent :(

How did you get the title of this thread past the rude-word filter? Perhaps apostrophes confuse it -- punctuation does matter.
|
Why - I am not even sure that my granny would consider that to be a rude word.
Do you know something that I don't?
|
You wouldn't believe the things this filter thinks is rude. It waould be shocked by your Granny.

A decision was made quite some time ago to drop the word 'sod' from the filter. That doesn't mean to say that we allow it to be overly used, and we would chastise anyone who attempts to use it as a personal comment toward someone else.
