Age of 'New' car? - alapppy
HI


I have just taken delivery of a new car from a car supermarket .The Certificate of conformity shows the date as October 03. Yet looking at components and stickers in the engine bay all appear around 10/04 The vin number decoder ( found elsewhere on this site)cannot decode the vin number . It is a Peugeot..any ideas on how to work out the actual build date?

Best thing would be to ring up your local Peugeot dealer and ask. All they'll need I suspect is the VRN and they can look up every detail of the car. My Ford dealer told me (I didn't ask!) that my Escort was manufactured in January 1989, 8 months before it was registered!
