Got scuff marks (several shallow marks rather than deep scratches)on windscreen after wiper arm came loose and metal part of arm touched glass while the wiper was sweeping across. Have tried insurance company who recommended replacement and Halfords glass polish which claimed to remove minor scratches (didn't work). Any tips on a cheap method of removing the marks ? For interest, car is Daewoo Nexia 3 door hatch.

Brasso did it for me. Regards Peter

Brasso did it for me.
As my DT teacher called it: "Metal polish for plastics".
Make sure you get rid of all the residue though, I've found when polishing plastics out that it can help create scratches also!

Thanks everyone for the advice, have tried metal polish (similar to Brasso) and screen is much improved although deeper marks remain. Reckon I will be able to get by without changing glass. Cheers.
