Interesting he has "155 previous convictions for mainly car-related crimes". People with 155 convictions for anything deserve to be removed from society.

I remember a new story from a few years ago where a car thief stole a banger. When it was recovered a few weeks/months(?) later it had alloy wheels fitted, a new paint job and lots of other minor things fixed.
Needless to say, the owner was quite happy.

reminds me of the story of the guy in Italy who stole a brand new Ferrari F50 from Rome. drove it round for 5 hours, returned it and parked it from where he stole it, fully cleaned with a note saying 'thank you' on the windscreen....
