VW T4 Caravelle water pump - mitch65

Have a 2.5TDI Caravelle at 76000 miles. Cambelt done at 60000 but still has original water pump. I gather that seizure results in destruction of timing belt and wrecking of engine. Is this likely enough to warrant planned replacement, and what will it cost?

Inline 5 cylinder engine? It's a shame the pump wasn't replaced when the belt was done.

It's your call really, it's not a particually expensive pump or belt to replace (IMO, anyway!) so you pays your money and takes your choice.
