Could anyone give me some idea which car should I choose as I intend to keep the car for 3 years (54000 miles),ie :runnig cost and resale value etc>..: Brand new (53)Toyota Avensis T2 hatch and Pre reg (03)Nissan Primera hatch SE .

Does this mean they're the same price?
If the deal is right, I'd go for the Primera - but the pre-reg Primera should be at least £1500 and ideally £2,500 cheaper than the Toyota.

Thanks for the input, have test drive the Avensis diesel, dont think much of it, the ride is quite firm but I havenot driven a diesel before so cant really comment,the price for the cars are:
Avensis £12295, Primera £11150.

Not driven the Avensis, but had a primera sev on test for three days. Very very disapointing car, couldnt face the thought of three years in it.

Wouldn't go for either myself.
Try a Mazda 6 for size - some good prices to be had at Newbury Mazda or Motorpoint.

the bedford nissan dealer (priory) is advertising pre-reg 03 primera 1.8 se's "range of metallics" at £8995. caught my eys as seemed cheap
