Peugeot 207 SW - Charging a defunct battery - Steveieb

The battery on my girlfriends car refused to start the car this moring. Just clicking.

Car booked in for a new battery on Monday.

Going to jumps start it with a pack but is it safe to use a small trickle charger from Aldi overnight or one which charges up to 4 amps without destroying the electronics?

If it's "dead" you may be able to resurrect it by removal from the car, putting it on a charger with a 14.8v setting for a couple of hours to give it a belt - and then trickle charge it over the weekend.

If the battery still has its original plastic cover fitted,you will not be able to access the negative lead to jump start or charge it.Use a suitable earth point on the engine.Slow charger will be no problem on this.
