Merc ML - Can I use tyres designed for a Porche on my Merc? - aaj

Michelin latitude tour hp:

Porche N0 tyres rated @ B economy and B wet

Mercedes MO | XL rated @ C economy and C wet

So, the Porche version looks, on paper, to be a better specification. But, can I use the Porche tyre on my Mercedes ML?

Or, should I instead go for a non specific michelin latitude sport 3 C economy A wet

decisions decisions ...

If the weight and speed ratings are the same as (or higher) than what your car needs, then go for it.

But if it was me, I'd go for the non-specific ones with the 'A' wet rating - again, assuming the weight and speed ratings are up to the job

After I posted I noticed the Porche ones were lower load rating.

Although I drive like a little old lady, I think I'll take your advice and get the tyres with the highest wet rating :-)

After suffering a constant slow leak (a few PSI a month) with a non MO tyre fitted to a Mercedes I would go for the MO tyre.

I could never prove it was due to a non MO tyre, but I had the tyre tested for punctures, I had it removed and reseated and a new valve fitted. It still lost pressure. When It needed replacing I had an MO tyre fitted and no further problems.
