Are there any car insurance comparison websites that do not ask for a telephone number? I do not want insurance companies bothering me, I get enough cold callers as it is and don't tend to answer my phone any more anyway. I am happy to give my email address but not my phone numbers, home or mobile.
As above you can use a false number and name until you get the quotes you want.
I tend not to use comparison sites any more - too many times they used my information to their end and not mine (and I work in the marketing industry so know exactly what they can and cannot do with your data).
This time I got a quote from Direct Line (not on comparison sites). With a multi car policy I managed to reduce my premiums for 3 cars by a massive 45%. I had to triple check they got all the facts right and their price wasn't based on a false assumption, but everything was fine and they got my business. I check prices every year so it wasn't a case of me benefiting from swapping providersafter sticking with the same one for years.
I have no connection to Direct Line by the way - just a pleased customer.
