KIA Rio 2008 - Car a write off. Help needed - Stephen Downs

Hello all,

My wife was hit by a car and now the front drivers side wheel leans in at the top. Also when wheels are straight the steering wheel is at 2 o'clock.

The insurance company had offered £1455 for a settlement. However, if I keep the car and source repair they give me £1000. I don't know what to do, as I am without a car. Shall I go for a repair or accept full amount and look for another car?

Not sure how to post pictures. I would say the wheel leans in about an inch

Take it to 2 x bodyshop & ask a price for fixing it.

Do the arithmetic and make-up you mind

You would be writing a blank cheque if you have not got an estimate to fix - some suspension parts needed can be inexpensive - a steering rack on the other hand are pricey.

Looks like the car could have some serious suspension damage , possible chassis out of alignment. Take the money and look for something else.
