Proton gen 2 1.6 2008 - weak blower - KCSRenault

Hello,

I recently bought a proton gen 2, which is in fantastic condition which i got for barley nothing. Anyway the one thing i have noticed is that the blower is not very strong at all.

Is this a trait of this car? or will it likely be a resitor issue rather than the motor. It is like the blower is on the lowest setting when it is set to max.

First check would be the cabin filter. Could be blocked. Is there any noticeable difference in speeds when the fan control is operated? Do you deal in old bangers? All your previous posts are related to cars worth £1k or less?

I'd also suggest checking the inlet (usually behind the bonnet at the bottom of the windscreen - you'll have to lift the bonnet). I've seen several cars with this space full of dead leaves and other debris.

Okay thanks guys i will have a look at the space behind the dash board, thanks

and no i have a rover 620 gsi which i like to keep the miles down on, so normally end up with old cars to run around in, then get bored and change.
