car reversed into me whilst driving but ....... - fiat17

Hi looking for some help

car reversed out of a parking spot into me whilst i was driving , gets out , apologizes and says it was his fault, gave ne his mobile and says we can exchange insurance details, hardly any damage to his large 4 x 4 , but my fiat 500 has a bad dent around the front passenger wheel arch. ive got photos and unfortunately no witness. When i tried to call him for insurance details his phone appears permanently switched off. My insurance will obviously try to claim off him via his car reg plate but what if he just denies ever being involved in an accident?

You should exchange all details, not just a mobile phone number. You are now at the mercy of his reg plate being correct.

Leave it to your insurance company for now.

It's a sad fact of life, I'm afraid. A photo of the other car, showing registration plate, at the scene, might help. Do you have that?

You may also wish to consider installing a dashcam.
