Can we please have an additional topic - 'New Posters, please read before posting' to appear at the head of the list of 'Topics'? .........

'As well as the make and model of the car, please include the basic details of engine type, age and mileage. Please also be as accurate as possible in your description of the history and development of the problem for which you are requesting advice. Please also take the trouble to reply and update the thread as to the eventual outcome (and possibly proffer thanks if the advice has been helpful)'

This post is prompted by curiosity as to outcomes,and by a recent post from a motorist asking for advice re misfuelling - but eventually checked that she hadn't actually misfuelled!

That'd be nice!

I mean even on the phone I get "my car won't start!"

Then I'm supposed to use my magic powers to guess make,model,engine size,fuel type............................................................................

Which if I could do I wouldn't be fixing cars!

Well probably be still fixing them but IN VEGAS!!
