Is there a comfortable, petrol SUV that feels sporty with a good load space?

I need to find a petrol SUV with a high driving position that's good for long runs (have dodgy hip), has a sporty feel, decent size carrying capacity and kerb appeal. My searches so far have failed to find all I need. Budget for a low mileage vehicle is around £20,000.

If you had a bit more, a new Kia Sportage 1.6 T-GDi GT AWD manual. Handles brilliantly. Alternatively, a Suzuki Vitara S 1.4 T Boosterjet 4WD manual, or a Peugeot 2008 1.2 Puretech 130 6-speed with Grip Control.
