Should I replace my wife's BMW 1 Series' tyres with the original runflats or something else?

My wife's nearly three-year-old 1 Series BMW needs four new tyres in the next few weeks. At the moment it is fitted with the original Bridgestone Turanza runflat tyres (205 55 r16 91v). Would you advise that we replace like for like, or are there better runflats on the market now? Or would you advise fitting conventional tyres and buying a spare wheel and tyre? And if we fit conventional tyres, which ones do we choose?

Currently the best seem to be Dunlops. They are what BMW now favours as original equipment.
