Why is my heater only blowing cold air?

My Ford Fiesta 59-reg is blowing cold air through the heater with no heat at all. It has been to a garage who couldn't see a fault but decided to change the thermostat and charge £150 but it has not solved the problem. Do I need to take it to Ford?

What was needed was a new valve in the pipe between the engine and the radiator matrix. Very common failure on this Fiesta and Ka. Surprising that your garage did not know that.
