What similar automatic cars could you suggest to replace my Citroen Xsara Picasso?

I would like to ask for advice regarding the replacement of my Xsara Picasso with something similar in size and style. It should be an automatic car, preferably newer than 2010. The obvious choices would be the Renault Scenic and the C4 Picasso. I read the Picasso has problems with the EGS gearbox - is that the case for the post 2010 cars and thus better avoided? I have considered the Ford C-MAX, but those are a bit too expensive. Is there anything particular I should watch out for? Is there another make/model I should consider?

The one to go for is the Toyota Verso 1.8 i Valvematic Multidrive S. Not a great handler, but smooth to drive and reliable.
