Will the new Volkswagen Golf have a 1.5-litre engine?

Over the coming year I will be looking to replace my Audi A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI which has served me well for 3 years. I particularly like the 1.4 petrol engine which is both smooth and lively so I am looking at cars which use this engine across the VWG.
I notice that the new Volkswagen Golf, due in February, promises a 1.5 TSI engine, based on the previous 1.4 and I am concerned that if I buy a car with the 1.4 engine I may find that it is quickly superseded by the 1.5, leaving me with a less valuable car. Do you know of any plans to replace the 1.4 TSi / TFSi engine with a 1.5 version across the full range of VWG vehicles in the near future?

Yes. The 1.4 TSI will be replaced by the 1.5 TSI across the whole of the VAG range, just like the Ford 1.6 EcoBoost was replaced by the Ford 1.5 EcoBoost.
