Need a safe and economical SUV - what would you recommend?

I need a good, safe and economical SUV/crossover. What would you recommend between the Nissan Juke, Qashqai and Kia Sportage?

The Sportage 1.7CRDI is pleasant to drive because though its maximum torque is not huge at 280Nm, it is developed from 1250rpm. But a 3008 opens up the possibility of going non-diesel with the 1.2 PureTech 130 engine that gives 230Nm torque and 45-50mpg and is great to drive. Best to ope for the 'Grip Control'.
