Best commuter car for under £7500?

I'm looking to buy a secondhand small diesel car for around about £7500. It needs to be economical and reliable as I'll be doing over 15,000 miles a year just to and from work. What do you recommend?

A KIA or Hyundai 1.4CRDI or 1.6CRDI: Rio, Cee'd, Venga, i20, i30, ix20. Chain cam engines. Mostly more reliable than anyone else's.
