Intermittent headlight failure on Dacia

I have a 2014 Sandero. When driving at night with my headlights on, and I've flashed my main-beams at an on-coming car who has left his on and is dazzling me, upon flashing my lights my headlights, sidelights and dashlights have all gone out.

I'm left with no functioning lights for around 10 seconds, and it takes multiple switches on & off of the 'barrel switch' on the indicator stalk for my headlights and dashboard lights to come back on.

Any suggestions as to the cause? I was thinking faulty switch?

Yes. A relay can't take the current when you flash your lights. So back to the dealer, explain the problem and ask for a new relay to be fitted. Meanwhile, don't flash your lights at drivers who have left their lights on full beam. Two wrongs don't make a right and by dazzling them you could actually cause them to crash into you.
