Why can't I use voice activation for my Ford Mondeo's in-car phone?

I have bought a Ford Mondeo Titanium X TDCI reg Nov 09. It has voice activation for ridiculous things like switching on the CD player. I now wish that I could have the same facility for switching on my Bluetooth mobile phone in the car. Ford tell me that this is not now possible. I find this very hard to believe. Much of the technology must already be in place. Are there any specialist firms that you can recommend that would undertake this modification?

Is there another dealer you could try?
