Buying a Honda Jazz - which engine is best?
You are enthusiastic about the new Honda Jazz but less so about the engine offered. Do you know whether additional or updated engines such as those offered in other markets are likely to be introduced?

We won't get the 1.5iVTEC that they have in Thailand, that also came with a 5-speed torque converter auto rather than a CVT. Ironically, some of these were built at Swindon for the South African market, but not for Europe because they are too high CO2 and use too much fuel.
We will eventually get the new 1.0 turbocharged Honda engine, but that seems to be coming in the Civic first. The massive benefit of the rather puny 1.3iVTEC CVT-7 in the Jazz is its potential for economy. I got 58mpg out of one using the paddles. Our 1.5iVTEC does 40 at best.
