Diesel engine for L3H2 van - should get euro 6 compliant engine?
We are buying a L3H2 size van for conversion before Sept 2015.
Should we go for a Euro 6 compliant engine as this restricts the range of models available? Are there any engines in new vans available now that have problems with the DPF more than most? Is it likely that manufacturers will make larger vans with petrol engines in next year - we would wait if that was the case

If by "for conversion" you mean to a motorhome or camper that you will then keep for maybe 10 years or more, then it better be EU6 in order to futureproof it. Very much doubt LCV manufacturers will switch to petrol, but LPG may see a comeback if the EC legislators are not continued to be lobbied by vested interests against it.
