Clutch problem Ford Focus 1 litre Ecoboost

I have had to have the clutch replaced on my Ford Focus. The car is just under two years old and had done 18,988 miles. I have driven for 35 years and never had to replace a clutch. I have reported the problem to Ford via the Dealers Champion network. I await their comments as discussed in Don't get Done, Get Dom on 21st May 2015.

Don't get Done, Get Dom failed to promote the source of these Focus problems so yours is only the second we have heard of since the show. They are also occurring on C-Max 1.0 EcoBoost 6-speeds, but not on Fiesta and B-Max 1.0 EcoBoost 5-speeds. What I tried to bring up on Dom was that when the failed clutch parts were returned to the owners, the clutch slave cylinders were not and, of course, a failing clutch slave cylinder could have the same effect on the clutch as the driver slipping the clutch.
