Will the DSG recall cause further problems?

I havea Volkswagen Golf (2013 model) with a 1.6 diesel engine, linked to a seven-speed DSG 'box. The Golf is a Motability car and according to my local dealer, the car is subject to a recall for a gearbox oil change. It will be minerals from synthetic.

Should I worry about this recall, if I plan to buy at end of my Motability contract? The car has run for 18,400 miles on synthetic oil and hesitates on some gears.

See how the car runs after the transmission oil change. Some have come back with problems. The problem is actually an electrical problem caused by the conductivity of the synthetic fluid. Make sure you complain about the DSG problem you already have when the car goes in for the recall.
